Family Pictures

Over Halloween weekend my family got together and did family pictures. It has been a long time since we have had a professional take them and that chance for all of us to be there. They turned out so good.

It is not very often that you get to have a picture with all of us and I am so glad to finally have one. I can't wait for the time when I get to move closer to my sisters. I miss them so much.

Scentsy Consultant

Scentsy Consultant

Buy. Host. Join.

On October 24th I decided to become a Scentsy Consultant. I have never done something like this before but thought I would give it a try. I had my launch party on November 6th and then have had three parties since then. I have had so much fun being in my friends homes and seeing the excitement of people when they see how much fun Scentsy really is.

Now of all times is why I am so excited for Scentsy because of Christmas. Scentsy candles are amazing gifts. We have some really good packages just for this time of year. I really want to thank everyone that has supported me so far and hope that all of you will spread the word. Also if any of you want to Host a party let me know. It is so easy and you can earn so much free stuff. I hope all of you have wonderful Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays.

Love you all.

It has been awhile

Can you believe the month of November is only a week away. Thanksgiving is going to be here before I know it and then CHRISTMAS. Wow I am not ready for this. Most of all I am not ready for the cold weather and the SNOW. If the snow could stay on the side of the roads and not on them then I would enjoy winter more. Ok let me catch you up on what has been going on in our lives. It is not very interesting so don't get to excited.

The first of he month we went out and took family pictures. We had a good time. Our friend did such a good job. I love them.

Chris is half way through his semester at school. Which means we only have one more semester to go. I am so looking forward to him graduating. It will be nice to have College life behind us and have Chris start using the skills that he has learned. This is my opinion Chris may have a different one. All I can say is I am tired of being a single parent three nights a week.

Charly is talking more and more everyday. Her new thing right now is O KAY. I would tell her it is time for dinner or please take this to your room and her response is O KAY. She is really quite funny. This morning I was trying to get her up so we could get ready to go and I will tell you this my daughter is not a morning person. She must get that from her mom. I went in her room and turned her light on and tried to get her up so we could get dressed. She grumbled at me and told me no. So I left the room with the light on and went to finish getting ready myself. Next thing I know I hear her tell yell NO MOM and she slammed her door shut. I looked and Chris and thought "She did not just slam her door in my face". So what do you do. I don't think she really understands what she did, ok ya she probably does but I think I was so surprised by her actions that I didn't know what to do but laugh. Does is sound like I have a drama queen on my hands or what. I mean we bypassed the princess stage and went straight to queen.

Lastly we have a new pet in our house. Chris took Charly out yesterday and bought her two goldfish. When they called me and told me my first question was did you guy something to put them in. And of course he did. Then I asked what Charly thought. He told me that she wants to hold them. He said she keeps squeezing the bag. When I got home Charly took me in and showed me her fish. I asked her what their names were. She told me Dad and Mom. I laughed and asked her again. I guess we decided on Elmo and Blue. Not sure which one is which but those are there names. She was able to feed them last night and Chris told me that she kept telling them "UP FISH UP" because they weren't going up to get their food. I will keep you updated on how long they last.

7 Weird Things

My sister Lindsey and my friend Maria have tagged me to write 7 weird things about me. So here you go.

1. It frustrates me when a cupboard door is left open especially in my kitchen.

2. My closet it color coordinated. That way if I want to wear something black then I only have to look in one section.

3. I organize any candy I eat by colors. I eat all the duplicates first to where their is only one color of each left. Then I eat my least favorite color first leaving my favorite color to eat last.

4. I love to shop. It is not that fact of just going shopping it is a hunt for the good deal. The best deal I have ever found is I got a khaki jacket on sale for a dollar. It was great.

5. I hate wearing socks. I will wear flip flops or sandals until it snows. I do not care how cold it is I will not put socks on.

6. When we go grocery shopping I have to organize the cart. You can't just throw things in their it has to be in some kind of order.

I could only think of six for now. If I think of one more I will add it. I tagg Katie, Angelique, and Mardi.

Dress-Up

About a month ago I went to the dollar store to get something and when I arrived I noticed that they had dress up fairy wings, fairy skirt, shoes, tiars, bowas, and pom poms. So for the fun of it I bought it all for Charly. When we got home I put it all on her. She loved it. She cried when we had to take it off for bed time.About a week later my neighbor asked if I would watch their little girl so they could go out. Brinley is about 5 months younger than Charly but I love having over. She is so stinkin cute. So after work I went back to the dollar store and got some for Brinley. They had so much fun. They thought it was great. Below are pictures of the two of them.

"LAGOON"

Last weekend Chris and I were invited by our good friends the Kendalls to go to Lagoon. I have never been on a roller coaster and I am absolutely scared to death of heights. All week long I was trying so hard to get out of it but it didn't work. We went. When we got there they went straight to the old white roller coaster. They told me this was an easy one. We got climbing up the first hill and I was thinking ok I can do this. Then we dropped. I thought I was going to lose my stomach. I have never been so scared in my life. When we got off they asked me how it was. I told them that if this was the easiest one that I was done. I was not going to go on any more.

Immediately we head to the Spider and as I am standing in line I realized I can't do it. For those of you who may think I was just being baby that is fine, think that all you want. I was not going to do it. The Spider
So then we go to "Wicked". O my lanta I was not going to even get in line for this. I do not know how they did it but they did. "Wicked"
After that we went on some I decided to get brave and go on some rides. We went on a fun smaller ride. Not sure what it was called but here is a picture of us on it. Then we went on the Colossus. This ride goes upside down twice. Maria told me just to keep my head back and close my eyes. So I did and it was not that bad. So the rest of the rides we went on I decided that as long I closed my eyes I was ok.
I really did have fun. I am not sure if I would say lets go get a seasons pass but it was fun.

Holding Hands

Ok those of you who know my daughter she really does not play well with others her own age. Over the weekend she really grew attached to her cousin Audrey who is two years older than her. She would take Audrey by the hand ad drag her all over the house. I have not seen her do that to anyone. Audrey, of course was so cute about it. I would just see her roll her eyes and follow. I will have to get a picture of the two of them together next time and post it. I look forward to Charly getting to spend more time with her cousins someday. Thanks Audrey for being such a good sport.

"SURPRISE"

Last night Charly got to go shopping with the girls. Chels needed to go find some work clothes and for some reason everyone thinks that I am the bargain shopper and I know where all the good deals are so they always want me to come. So off we went to the mall with Charly in toe. After about 2 hours of shopping she was starting to get frustrated and wanted to do what she wanted to do. So we would play games, where I would be running up and down isles pushing the stroller as fast as I could to keep her entertained. Finally we were in our last store. The sales ladies just thought she was the cutest thing so they kind of took to her and let us shop. Next thing I know I was coming out of the dressing room and out jumps Charly saying "SURPRISE". She has never said that before and I am not sure where she has heard it but it was really cute. I honestly look forward to everyday and listening to her say new words and discover new things. It is so fun being a mom.

Swallowed a Frog

Last weekend when we went to Idaho I lost my voice. I was completely fine until I walked into my moms store, I started coughing really hard, and then no voice. On Sunday I could barely get anything out. Charly and I stayed home from work and day care on Monday so I could rest my voice and now I am back to work with everyone I talk to saying it sounds like you have a frog in your throat. Definitely not the funest thing to have to deal with at work but we are surviving. The sad part is Chris is not getting any sleep because I do nothing but cough all night long plus I stink so bad that he can't stand me. Between tea tree oil on my face, lavender on my throat, and Vicks on my feet lets just say my room is very potent.

5 YEARS

Five years ago today Chris and I were on our way to be married for time and all eternity. He asked me this morning, "Does it feel like we have been married for 5 years?" I told him it seems longer. Not in a bad way but in a way that I can't remember him not being with me.

To celebrate our anniversary Chris and I went to Manti over Labor Day weekend. He surprised me with a three day, two night bed and breakfast getaway. It was so nice. There is really not much to do in Manti but in a way it is exactly what we needed. There was no busy traffic, no shopping malls, and really no restaurants but we had a great time.

Saturday morning we got up and went to do a session at the temple. It was wonderful. That afternoon we went canoeing, went bowling (I realized I am not a good bowler. Chris bowled a 168 and I bowled a 40. It was embarrassing but we had a good time.) Then we played a game of pool and I impressed him with my pool skills. We pretty much did everything you can do in Manti but I loved every minute of it. This is one trip I will not forget.

Happy Anniversary Chris, I love you.

(This is one of the pictures we took of the temple. It was a beautiful day.)

Sleepless Nights

My two year old still does not sleep through the night and most nights I just dread getting up when I here the word "MOM", but this morning at 4 am was a little different. She walked into our room and took my finger and pulled me out of bed. She lead me to her room and she climbed into bed. I tried to hand her, her sippy cup but she told me no. So I asked her if she wanted some milk. She told me no, chalko. That is her word for chocolate. She wanted chocolate milk. I got her some milk, kissed her on the cheek and she was out. I thought it was kind of cute how she came to get me this morning instead of her screaming for me. She just quietly walked into my room and took my hand. It was sweet.

"NO"

So I went to pick up Charly from Day Care yesterday and I can always tell when she has had a rough time because when she sees me she comes running and starts to cry. So I asked how her day was and I got told this story.

When the kids play outside they are suppose to keep their shoes on because their feet get so dirty. Well Charly does not like to keep her shoes on, so as soon as she gets outside she takes them off. So they asked her to put her shoes back on and she told them NO. They asked her again and again she told them NO. So they informed her she needs to go to time out until they can put her shoes on and again she told them NO. When I showed up they were trying to get her to go to time out. I do not know what I am going to do with this child. She told an adult authority NO.

When we got in the car I asked her if she had to go to time out and she told me NO. So I asked her if she took her shoes off when she was outside and she told me yes. Then I informed her that she needs to keep her shoes on when she is outside and again she told me NO. I have a feeling we need to work on this NO business.

Where do I start?

Ok so I finally decided to start this blog. I have enjoyed reading all of my friends blog so much and they all tell me I want to see pictures of Charly so here you go. I can't promise that this is going to be interesting but it is my life. So welcome to the Dimples Daily blog.
